Federico Ferri is research fellow in EU law at the UNIBO Department of Legal Studies and he has been working for several years with Prof. Casolari and Prof. Balboni. He holds a PhD in European Law from the Universities of Bologna and Strasbourg (2015) and a Specializing Masters in Human Rights and Humanitarian Intervention (2011).
Federico Ferri is also a civil attorney in the municipality of Bologna. He collaborates with companies, institutions and reviews in Italy and abroad. He is involved in many initiatives and projects carried out at national, European or international level. Among other things, he is member of the Flying Faculty of the China-EU School of Law (CESL) and he is part of the “Lecurers and Experts” staff of the Global Campus on Human Rights.
Federico Ferri conducts research in a variety of fields, most of which relate to sustainable development. He has long dealt with international and EU environmental law and he has worked on immigration and development cooperation. Over last years he started to focus on topics embraced by the EU digital single market; chiefly, he is studying the balance of fundamental right in this peculiar context, the new developments of trademark and copyright law, the evolution of the EU policies on crowdfunding.
